WELCOME

During our lifetimes everyone will find that there are moments that are difficult to cope with as being human isn’t always easy.

There may be times of loss or trauma, anxiety or depression, a whole range of other concerns or issues meaning that thoughts and feelings may become overwhelming. At times like these we can feel lost and unsure of how to move forward and we begin to feel stuck.

CAT Counselling

As an integrative counsellor, I offer a safe confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings using a range of theories which can be tailored to suit you.

My role as your therapist is not to tell you what you need to do, as I believe that you are the expert on you. I will accompany you on your journey and help you to face the difficulties that you are, or have, experienced. We can explore your thoughts and feelings, where you are now, where you want to be in the future and what steps you can take in order to make those changes that you want to see.

Whether you are seeking help for a specific short-term issue, or whether you want to work longer term to work things through and explore them in more depth, you have the autonomy to choose what works best for you. You will have a voice and the choice as to what you discuss and in how much detail as sessions are client led. This means that you will feel listened to and really heard without fear of judgement.

Issues that you are dealing with may be current problems, or they may involve things that happened many years ago that you haven’t been able to fully process.  Counselling can help with all of this. You may not be able to change the past, but it may be possible to view it differently and therefore have a different outlook moving forward.  By talking things through you may find that you are able to discover a new perspective so that things that felt overwhelming begin to feel more manageable.

I offer therapy over a range of mediums: I can offer online, telephone or face to face sessions or a blend of these to suit your individual needs.  My office is situated in Stourbridge close to public transport links with both the bus and train station a short distance away.   With my office being minutes away from the picturesque Mary Stevens Park I can also offer a walk and talk therapy session surrounded by nature if that helps you to feel more comfortable.

I am a registered member of the BACP and I adhere to their ethical framework to ensure that I am working in your best interests.

We can arrange a free initial conversation (either via telephone, online or face to face) during which time we can both decide if we feel we can work together and discuss your hopes and aims for counselling. Sessions will then be arranged once per week and will last for up to 50 minutes.

Fee Structure

Fees are charged at £50 per session.
Some concessionary rates may be available, please contact me to discuss.
